Hi guys first time posting here. Making a new gaming PC so could really do with some advice.i have a budget of 500$(could go for 550-600$ if needed) Which cpu,gpu would be best to play games in 2014 at high settings! Thnx in advance! (Thats my first gaming pc! And i am little noob at this! :p)

If you are wanting to overclock get a more expensive PSU (at this price point it's not really worth it as you'll also need a CPU cooler), but otherwise this will squeeze all the performance possible out of your budget.

Dont recommend a 450 watt PSU for r9 280 the minimum requirement for r9 280 is 550 watt if you OC the processor and GPU then i would recommend a 650 watt psu on the safe side.

That's not an R9 290 you've linked to it's an R9 270 and there are MUCH better PSU's available for the price like the XFX 550W and the Rosewill Capstone 650W
