I have probably experienced similar, since I used to run it on HD 2000 graphics, and yes it is possible.

You will likely have to run it at very reduced settings. I found that I could mess with medium settings a tiny bit, but for anything requiring a large group of people you'll need low.

Also, as a quick not from my experience, you'll find that the shadows and increased spell effects will have a big influence on FPS when playing at lower settings. With those off and everything else low, I think you'll do just fine.
