Windows 7 hangs at "Starting Windows" with new rig.

Hi everyone,
well just two days ago i got a new motherboard (Gigabyte B75M-D3H) and a new CPU (i5 3570)... I kept my old HDD, the problem is when i start the system, it always hangs at "Starting Windows" and restart from the beginning, i tried safe mode, no luck.
Where might the problem be? Thank you.

Did you set SATA mode to AHCI on your new mobo? Or, if you're old mobo was configured to run IDE try setting SATA mode to that.

Yeah, i just tried both SATA controllers, neither works, still hangs at the Win 7 logo.

If you can, try plugging the HDD into another computer. Try it as a boot disk and as a data disk. It could be that your current Windows install doesn't like the new mobo and CPU.
