My new rig is an i7 4770 , Asus Z87 Pro, 16GB Corsair Ram , GTX780 Ti and possibly 2 HDD's.

800w or 1kw recommended? Are Corsair good enuff or get a different PSU?

I won't be doing any overclocking etc.

Thanks.

Silly money wasters. JK. But seriously 600 watts is way more than enough.

If you want to have just enough power for your system,XFX Core 650W,Seasonic M12II 620W/650W.

If you want to have a bit more,then XFX Core 750W,EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750W,Seasonic M12II 750W,Corsair AX760i or Cooler Master V750.

If you want more than enough power for your system,XFX Core 850W,EVGA SuperNOVA G2 850,Seasonic M12II 850W or Corsair AX850.

If you want to SLI in the future or have extreme overkill for your system,Seasonic X 1050W,EVGA SuperNOVA G2 1000W or Cooler Master V1000 1000W.

All the best. ;)

Thanks for linking the list guys, I'm new on site as you can see ;] Never had any problems building, just picking the right reactor for the system ie picking a good make.

Thanks again.

Wow thats out of control. 600 is plenty for that setup, my tier 3 (lol) psu deals with a much higher power draw than that system will while at full load, without breaking a sweat. The seasonic psu linked above is a really great deal and frankly the best option that has been offered.

How about this? I couldn't see AX in the list, but it is a platinum speced PSU.

Future proofing is good, I may add another GTX780 Ti , or 2 other cards in future :)

Yes that's in the PSU tier list I listed. It is a Tier 1 PSU and you will be fine.

And if you plan to do a GTX780Ti SLI then that will be great.

950W is recommended for 2xGTX 780 Ti.
I am a kind of person that likes having more power, just to be on the safe side.
I would recommend the EVGA SuperNOVA G2 1000W as your PSU if you want to add another GTX 780 Ti.

I'm leaning towards this one:-

It's one Joeteoh99 recommends, and with the chart spentshells linked, I think it'll handle 2 GTX780's in the future. It's a bit cheaper (£114) and I can get it tomorrow :)

Yes you will be fine, it is also another Tier 1 PSU. All the best mate.

Done and done. Thanks guys, clear concise posting and not being a nub myself made the choice very easy.

Kudos to Joeteoh99 & spentshells.

I would get a 750W Seasonic or XFX power supply to allow for more upgrade space in the future.
