I am going to build a pc that i will use to mainly play games like bf4 and Arma 3 i would hope to run these games on high, how many fps would i be getting.
This is my build setup.
cpu- Intel Core i5 4690
mobo- MSI B85-G43 Gaming
ram- Corsair Vengeance Pro (2x4GB) DDR3
gpu- MSI Radeon R9 280 Gaming 3GB
HDD- Seagate Barracuda 1TB

If there are any other system builds that are better than this for less than $1,100 (AUS) please let me know thanks.

You should be good to go on high. What monitor setup are you using? Single 1080p? If so, BF4 does not take much to power at that resolution and you should be able to get great FPS. If you can try to spring for a 280x.

You will get minimum of 55-60fps at high. As my system specs as compared to you is low and mine BF4 fps was minimum 45 and goes to max 59fps. And almost same for ARMA III.

If you're going for an R9-280X or GTX 770, then you will definitely need a better PSU. A SeaSonic, XFX, Antec, or Corsair AX 650w or greater PSU should work better. I would recommend against getting a Thermaltake PSU, anyway.

Agreed on the PSU, 550w is the bare minimum, and it wouldn't cost much more for a more powerful one. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/G7RgZL I suggest this build.

Corsair PSUs are best. Its priority should be at high. I'm against CoolerMaster PSUs. ThermalTake PSU is better than CoolerMaster but not so good. If you don't go for corsair then go to SeaSonic or ANTEC PSUs. Also for good gaming Rig, you need minimum of 550-600watt supply to run your system perfectly.

Not all Corsair PSUs are good. The CX series has been getting ripped over poor-quality capacitors. The AX series is excellent, though.

It should be enough for the games you have mentioned.

4690k is pointless with a B85 board. This would be better yet, for less $$$
