I got watch dogs today and Gameplay is kinda weird. There is no stuttering and i am getting like 40 to 60 FPS at 'High' settings and 1080p resolution. But movement in game is kinda weird and driving is abrupt. it is very stiff like someone's got a hold on you.Is it the game or is it my pc doing this. is there a setting in game to increase fluidity?

Do you have AA or FXAA on high, texture streaming is enabled? What GPU are you using? Do you have the game installed on HDD or SSD? And what CPU?

@MeteorsRaining
My AA Setting is temporal SMAA(Its a low setting, i guess). Gpu is r9 280x. i have installed it on regular hdd. processor is i5 4440. I dont have a clue about a setting called texture streaming though. There is texture quality, is that what you are asking?

SMAA is a good performance/hardware blend, no issues there. GPU is good enough for high-ultra gaming. CPU is great.

Yes what're the texture settings? Actually, some (many) games adopt streaming method, where they save textures on GPU VRAM, thus lessening the amount of time taken to load them and a richer overall gameplay, but it sometimes can tax the VRAM by not giving room for actual GPU computing (can't be the case with that good of a card) and lower FPS.

If streaming is off, the game will load textures via storage, ie HDD, and I can guess it'll not be the smoothest, that game can take 1.5GB of textures and loading them is no easy task. I'd figure HDD as the culprit. But, before that, how's your Vsync?

Texture setting is ultra. Vsync is off. Should i change texture to streaming?

Gotcha, textures it is. Firstly, its ok to keep Vsync off if there's no screen tearing, its to fix up the FPS and disallow screen to refresh before the scene is completely created.

Keep textures on high, ultra is overdue. Try these settings out:

High Textures
High Detail settings
2x TXAA / 2x MSAA

How do i change texture to streaming?. it has only ultra, medium, off options.

Textures are streamed through VRAM by defualt, and considering you play game installed on HDD, keeping them enabled would be better, just lower the settings a bit to Medium.

now the game is smooth but there is a major issue, there is some texture s on screen like condensation on glass. right in the middle of screen. its not there at start but when i start moving my mouse around i think old textures just dont fade.

Uh that old crappy issue. Turn Vsync on, its made to tackle this thing.

nope its not going away. and its not screen tearing. its like they are rendered textures of things when i look in a direction from different items and when i look away they dont go away from some parts of the screen.

Disable or set TXAA on lowest.

its on medium. but game is not smooth like when AA was set to MSAA2

What you're talking about then may not be any glitches, but rather the quality itself. High MSAA makes edges smoother at the cost of a heavy performance penalty on GPU, should be good enough though. Set all other Anti Alising on low and MSAA on 2x with medium detail preset.

now i did lower all settings to medium and turn msaa on 2x it s smooth but car s still turn like a square box instead like in round, bike are ok. when i drive really fast its ok, parking and driving slow is not easy, its not like GTA.

Do you have the latest GPU drivers? Enabling Vysnc after these changes doesn't help? Can you precisely mesure FPS or, at a better side, run Unigine heaven and tell score so we can check if everything's alright about temps and FPS and stuff. Do you think you're missing frames?

I do have latest drivers. I am downloading Unigine heaven now. will post score soon.

you should run unigine at one of the presets, preferably the highest. that way your score can be compared to others in a controlled manner. i actually prefer unigine valley since it has a 1080p preset instead of the 1600x900 max preset that heaven has.

Your score is very good for your build. I can't see any drawbacks, GPU is fine IMO. Do you get those faded out texture issue on any other game? And do you have SSD?

I dont have an SSD.The fade outs are gone Its Fine now I Set AA to SMAA Instead of temporal and Its Working Good.
