My 8 month old tv has started blowing the fuse in it's plug. I tried replacing it twice after the first blow out but as soon as I stuck it back in the socket the fuse blew straight away.

What could be causing this? Would it be something to do with the power brick or something internally in the tv itself.

I'd like to have an idea of what the problem might be before bringing it back in store.

The tv is a Samsung T24C350 LED.

Most probably the power brick but I have not herd of a TV that uses a power brick before. As for fuses, it sounds like your house has sub par wiring if you are still using fuses instead of breakers. The problem could be in the wiring of the house.

Try plugging it in at your neighbors house to verify this.

Hi
Just for reference I think darren 2368 is from the UK,every plug has a fuse in it for that appliance which will be between 3A and 13A,there will also be a circuit breaker in the fuse box rated at 32A and if it is reasonably new there will also be an RCD.

Hi most likely the power brick, what size fuse are you using ?
If it is only 8 months old then it is still under warranty and you need to contact Samsung.

I was thinking it was probably the power brick, I picked it up and gave it a little shake around and can here something rattling around inside. Sounds very small whatever it is, guessing it's not normal.

It uses a 3 Amp fuse. I bought it in Currys so I'll go through them.

Could be anything but most power bricks are not able to be opened without use of a Dremal. I would replace it.
