Is GTX 650 Synergy Edition enough for 2014-2016 games?

Unless you're getting it very cheap there are definitely better options. Plus it depends on your expectations as far as game quality settings go. Its a pretty weak card and unless you plan on keeping that monitor indefinitely its not the best choice. Anything resolution than that will necessitate a pretty big drop in quality settings to make games playable.
