Im going to build my first computer soon :D.

but was thinking wich cooler i should get. Im thinking of buying the noctua nh u12s because ive heard it´s really good or should i go with a more expensive cooler or even watercooling?.

Will a noctua nh u12s be able to handle the cpu overclocked about 1 gigahertz and still have the cpu at steady temperatures under 80?

But im curios if i would pick a cooler like the noctua nh d14 would it still have space for ram and not blocking any of the pcie slots?

This will be a gaming computer, and i im going to play dark souls 2, some battlefield 4, smite and maybe recording at the same time or streaming.

This is the important specs: case
Fractal design r4,
Motherboard msi z97 g45 gaming,
Cpu intel i5 4690k (stock 3,5 boost clock 3,9)
and Ram Crucial BallistixSport 8GB.

Even CM Hyper 212 will handle that, 4690k is a pretty awesome OCer (great integrated heatsinks) and 1Ghz is not a big deal (I'm talking from 3.5Ghz, not 3.9). Also, U12s is a slim soln for guys who have high heatspreader memory like Corsair Vengeance.

Crucial is normal profile so it'd not be an issue with D14, and I'd recommend D14, its just a couple bucks costlier but competes with H100i (liquid cooler) in terms of cooling and is probably the quietest in the market. Better than U12s and still great value/money.

are you sure it will have space for more ram and not block any pcie slot MeteorsRaining? And would a noctua nh d15 fit with still space for ram and not blocking any pcie slot?
