So I was having an issue with my mobo not posting. I did every test known basically. The last thing I did was put my cpu into a known working board... I didn't realize but it wasn't compatible with my cpu. It loaded the bios screen quickly and told me the cpu was not supported and then counted down and shut the pc off. I'm curious if because it gave me that message... Does that mean my processor works? Not in that motherboard but because I got to that screen. I'm wondering if my cpu is okay? I was putting it in that board just to make sure that I wasn't missing testing everything. Or does that error message not mean my cpu is a working cpu.... I just need to know if my cpu is good or dead...

If the mortheboard gave a non-compatible cpu message, then cpu is working fine.
