I have
Win7 64bit
Gigabyte 970a DSP Motherboard
AMD FX6300
8 gig mem
R9 270 2 gig Graphics card
3x Hard drives
PSU 850W
Case has 3 Fans

Using speed fan I see no Temp issues at all.

As soon as a game starts it powers off (Any 3D game), same if I run windows experience it will power off when at the D3D part. WIll only turn back on once I take the power lead out and then put it back in. Thinking it's a PSU issue??

Just remembered was playing teleglitch fine but as soon as I changed the option to use multi sampling it powered off..may have bee a coincidence though.

Tried new graphic card drivers.

Oh da#m...was hoping it would be something cheaper like the PSU...Have a spare 6850..will try that.

Just said the above was the solution and I don't know if it is..sorry made a mistake..not sued to the forum.

Thankyou!

Yes was fine for awhile...built the system about four months ago. One reason I thought it might be the PSU was the fact it wont turn back on unless the power lead is pulled out the back and then put back in again. It will urn back on straight away once I do that.

Have you tried underclocking the GPU in AMD Overdrive? If it works below spec but not at stock, then you have a power issue when the card starts to draw current for 3D rendering.

Also check and make sure you have the proper PCIe power connector plugged into the GPU. On Multi-rail PSUs, you want the GPUs on their own rail.

Also depending on the game, I have seen beta drivers or corrupt drivers cause a CTD or even a reboot when starting a game. What title are you trying to play, and has it played fine before?

Not sure the make of the PSU it came in a Cyberpower pre built system.

I will try lowering the cards clock speed.

Just realized the card is still under warrantee so if it is will get a replacement.

Happens with all 3D games.

Happens at exactly the same point during windows experience scan every time.

OK opened her up and gave her a clean. Swapped the 6pin power lead for the other one going into the card. Noticed some connectors hwere in fan sockets when not needed so took them out, rebooted and so far so good.

Thanks everyone.
