Want to install windows 7 onto crashed windows 8 laptop.

After crashing my windows 8 laptop during an update by accident, I want to install windows 7 onto it to use as a school laptop, I already own a chrome-book laptop but fear the method of using at school won't work. Any help will be appreciated!

Just boot to the windows 7 disk or usb and then choose custom install. Then delete all the hard drive partitions when you see them and it gives you the choice to choose where to install Windows. After you delete all the partitions, you will have a clean drive that you can install to.

Make sure you get your data off first - let me know if this is a problem.
