i decided to build my own gaming PC for christmas so i want to know whether this build will be good for playing games like BF4. I'm trying to keep the PC at around this price so please don't suggest anything wildly expensive.

nzxt h440
AMD 9590
Powercolor r9 280x 3gb
gigabyte FXA-99-UD3
XFX 750w
Hyper-X Fury (2x4gb) ddr3 1600mhz
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

I'm getting an SSD storage from my dad's old computer so storage will not be a problem.

Great for OCing.
You can change the CPU Cooler to a Noctua NH-D14 or CM Hyper 212 EVO if you want.
If you don't like the Corsair 200R,then feel free to change to the NZXT H440.
All the best,mate. ;)

750W is too much for that,a quality 550W PSU would be able to run it.
Also,an i5 4690K and a Z97 motherboard for a strictly gaming build would be a better choice since the i5 absolutely demolishes the FX-8350 in pretty much anything, except maybe editing.

True and true. I just made a build closer to what he started out with and left room for crossfire with the psu.

LukaBoki's intel build is a great combo. But the H80i is going to be loud.

Here's a $1000 AMD build for comparison...

Better/quieter CPU cooling
Better case
Top tier motherboard for OC and crossfire

I kept the rest the same

Power consumption only makes around a $5/year difference.

Even if you don't go with an AMD build, I highly recommend you go with this case and cooler combo for the intel option. Will perform like an H100i and be much quieter. Just edit LukaBoki's build to look like this...

He really doesn't need liquid cooling, CM Hyper 212 EVO would suffice for both of your builds and mine too.. :D
