When i use a RAM Memory with higher clock speed than the mob o or cpu can support,,the downgrading to the supported speed happens automatically without me having to do smth??

usually if you buy RAM that says it's higher than 1600MHz that's only when it's enabled under the XMP profile in BIOS.

What RAM and what mobo/CPU are you looking at?

Any time you install new DRAM it will go to the mobos default normally 1333 (though some go to 1066 and others to 1600), from there you set the DRAM freq - 1600 and above sticks utilize XMP so you can let XMP to auto setup your sticks (with the exception of the Kingston Fury line of sticks that utilize PnP and only work with the chipsets of certain mobos
