It's about as good as it gets. Pair it up with a high end card such as an R9 280X or R9 290X and you got yourself a killer gaming rig that plays games at ultra settings at 1080p. And has the capability of playing games at 4K. On the Editing side, this CPU is good for any low budget editing rig. With eight cores, it can surely hold its own in 1080p video editing, pair it up with an NVIDIA gpu such as the GTX 680 and you can render things faster if you enable CUDA acceleration in your editing software such as Adobe Premier. If you want to render out 3D content from Blender or Cinema 4D you can still get the job done.

Since you already have a MB that is suitable for the FX-8350, your most economical upgrade would be with one of the FX-83xx processors. Then you can always upgrade the gfx card when it no longer handles games the way you like.... assuming you have a good quality PSU of adequate size. That's why I asked you about the PSU. The FX-8350 is a 125W processor and shoudl be fine with the GTX 750 Ti. But upgrading (some day) to a faster card will require a solid PSU.

What processor will you be upgrading from?

to be honest I don't really game all that much on my computer. I will in the future do some gaming, but I have elder scrolls online right now that I played on ultra with this setup and was perfectly content with the way it looked. I don't really need to spend a bunch of money on a gpu cause all I really need to extra power for is streaming and multitasking. that's the only reason im considering doing the upgrade
