maybe some games would be able to use 8t but still if thats the case you then can buy a i7 (8 threads) that would be way more than any of the actual consoles

The i3 is better in most gaming scenarios than either the FX-6300 or Pentium, especially at stock clocks.. When overclocked, the Pentium will be stronger in games that like fewer, but faster cores, while the FX-6300 will perform better in multicore optimized games.
