I'm having a problem with slow internet speed. When I download via P2P (?) connection (uTorrent) I got normal speed, which is 20Mbps. But when I am downloading from a server (like MediaFire and such) I get like 5Mbps. I got a LAN cable connected to modem, which broadcasts WiFi. Modem is linked with router with a cable. I already contacted ISP, they said nothing was wrong. Do I have to buy a new router? A modem? Cable? Network Card? (My network card is Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller)

I don't know what to do. Excuse me for any typos I made. Not an english-man.

Lots of other factors come into play. How much load was on the internet, How many people were downloading at the time, how many other people sharing that internet bandwidth in your respective houses. Were any Internet backbone routers down that day forcing your traffic to be re-routed or (even worse) were they losing packets forcing yours to need to be resent? Heck, you cant even guarantee that you both connected to the same exact server. Theres usually banks of servers for large files like that. :)

Just like netflicks. If I try to watch on a friday evening at 7pm I start it then pause it and let it buffer for a long while otherwise its practically unwatchable with all the buffering it has to do. At 2am on a wednesday, the whole...

I understand this. But I don't get it; once, my friend and I played a game where we had to download 100MB file. He downloaded it significantly faster than me, even though we have the same speed.

At 2am on a wednesday, the whole movie is buffered before I can even watch the first 20 minutes and without a single stutter.

Your intenet connection is only part of the story you see. There are lots of factors beyond anyones control
