My computer (desktop) is not even a year old. All parts are relatively new. The computer worked fine up until a few weeks ago. The first thing that started happening was my monitor screen started flickering. There would be lines that go across the screen. Then the computer started to shut down on its own randomly. Also my monitor screen goes black. When this happens the computer remains on. I've installed a program to keep track of the temperatures inside and none seem to be going anywhere near the maximum temperature. I'm not sure what to do. Any advice/solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like the GPU is crashing. Could be the card crapping out or the PSU crapping out and not supplying enough power. Is your computer plugged into a surge protector? The PSU should have protected the parts if not but not always. Do you have access to another card to test with? Then if that card also doesn't work you would need another PSU to test with to narrow down the component causing the issue.

I may have access to a PSU. I may be able to borrow a card to test it and narrow down the problem. The computer is not and has not ever been connected to a sure protector. I'm assuming the PSU does have protected parts though. i haven't had this problem before and its connected to the same outlet before all this started. I did however open the case up to clean the inside dust with dust remover. Then everything started occurring a few days later. Coincidence maybe? I also noticed that the computer starts acting up when i'm watching videos online or playing a game. When i play videos the computer is fine for about 20 minutes and it starts flickering. So i exit and it stops. But if i keep playing the video it will either shut off completely or the screen will turn black. When i run video games the screen doesn't flicker it just shuts off after a certain amount of time. Hope that helps a bit more
