Hello!

I'm looking for a 27" monitor for my dorms. It should have a resolution of 1920x1080, IPS, and an HDMI input (if it has a USB it is even better).

I'm planning to use this monitor for gaming, watching HD movies and general use in the university.

I am from Israel, therefore, I might not have all the models available on the market, so I narrowed the choices to 3 models that I can lay my hand on.

The models are - ASUS VX279H, Dell S2740L and Samsung S27D390HS.

All three look more or less the same, so, if anyone owned and used any monitor of these could review, it would be great. Any piece of advice will be gladly accepted as well!

Thank you!

I have used all 3 brands of monitors - not that particular model on any of them.....they all make decent monitors (I have a "refurbished" Dell 19" monitor - a 4:3 LCD panel - ancient I tell you - purchased in 2003.....refuses to die). Specs wise, they are all really close....

If it were me, I would choose based on price (or if one of the "looks" of them is more appealing and justifies the price difference).

I have looked for the ASUS MX model, but I think it isn't available here.
Checked up few stores online before as well, and I'll check another one later.

Is there a noticeable difference between the VX and the MX?

Only difference I saw is that the MX has anti ghosting for gaming, and it works really well I haven't seen any ghosting on my mx239H.
