The monitor I have a the moment is a BenQ XL2411T. I'm thinking of buying a second monitor, but I'm not sure if I should buy the same monitor or a different monitor. I don't really need a second 144hz monitor since I don't plan on using it for gaming, but I don't want the colours of the monitor to be different from each other.

So, I'm stuck between choosing a second BenQ XL2411T or a different monitor to add to my setup, thanks.

Solution
If the price is within budget, my first choice would be an identical monitor. If it isn't - I would take the tape measure to the store and compare the monitors that were in my budget. I have 4 monitors on my desk right now - 2 are matched, and the other two are different. The matched 2 and the non-matched 2 are the same size and alignment. The 2 non-matched have a book under the base to make them all even.....
Most monitors have setup that will get you really close on the colors/brightness (there is going to be a difference between a $500 monitor and a $150 monitor in quality). You can get one that is similar and it should be fine.

The biggest thing I would look at is aligning the bottom/top of the monitor (this is one of my pet peeves - if the monitor is higher than the others, when moving the mouse across the desktop, you get the "cliff effect" where it looks like the mouse falls off the cliff.....).

I defiantly know that felling since I use both my 23" and my 19' monitor together.

So, do you have any suggestions of a monitor I should get? :)

I have 2 LG 24" monitors that are matched - they look almost the same for color and brightness. The other 2 are not as bright and don't have the color depth of the LG monitors (one is a viewsonic and the last is an AOC). The 2 non-matched are similar in color (the viewsonic had to be "muted" to match the AOC).
