Just want to know if my pc is considered a high end set up. Here are my specs.

4790k 4.0ghz cpu
Asus maximus hero VII mobo
32gb of corsair 2400mhz ram
Gtx 780 6gb sc acx
250gb ssd
4tb hybrid drive drive 7200rpm
3tb 7200rpm
corsair H105
corsair 1200 watt power supply 80 plus certified
(possibly will do sli by the summer time)
Pretty sure thats my all I have in my Pc at the time being. My monitor is the 28" asus 4k monitor. Also I would like to know how my Pc stacks up against the next gen consoles for their life cycle.

Solution
Know how that goes, one of my favorite parts of building....get to play with good rigs and often sell components right out of them and then on to something else

No like i was wondering if it was considered a high end pc to PC people. is it fairly common for people to have the stuff I have? A lot of videos online have people with dual cards and the like. I don't mean to brag, I'm new to gaming on pc so I just wanted confirmation that its deff a high end pc. Im still waiting for the power supply to come in the mail. Any advice for parts to add or do you guys think I'm good?

ha videos do not reflect reality, like less than 1% of worlds computers are as powerful as yours,it's just best in the line, ofc there's always something superior, R9 295X2 would beat the shit outta your GTX 780.

Just seamed like a lot of people had this sort of thing. Was starting to think that i had a about average pc compared to what they had in the videos. Thats kinda what I used to select the parts for my build. Now my friend is saying that I need 2 titans to play games in 4K? I was under the impression that a GTX780 could? Or possibly sli'd 780?

Would OC affect the reliability I need this pc for school so I dont want it to randomly break and I cant afford to fix anything major. This setup sent me further into the whole then I'd care to admit.

4k is still not really feasible for single gpu platforms. I would suggest asking for build selection advice before purchasing next time because I bet we could have built a better pc for your specific needs. Still that pc will do just about everything perfectly

You could easily do some mild overclocking if you wanted to without changing voltages on anything so pretty much without risk if you research a bit and know what you are doing

So I'll deff need to get dual cards to do 4k then. Im pretty sure my PC can handle old games like Skyrim in 4k. I'm not really worried about having 60fps and max settings all the time. Do you think dual 780's will be good? I don't really want to spend 1k on a graphics card. Also I didn't intend to build a PC for 4k. I just wanted to run metro last like on max settings. My first monitor was 1080p but was faulty so I returned it and bought the asus monitor. Didnt really know where I wanted to go with my build. I just chose parts as I went along.

My friend bought a PC with a GTX 770 and the same ram as me for just minecraft. I think me and my friend should have done a bit more research and a little more focus on my part about what comp I wanted to build. Either way Im going to be building my PC next week so wish me luck on my first build and I'll update you guys on how that goes.

I think im already addicted. Spent a lot on the parts because it was better then the parts I originally wanted. Next thing I know I spent double what I wanted to. Combine that with my low willpower to not use my credit card and it kills me. Lol
