Yes it's a very good unit. I'm not sure how it missed our tier list but it would be a very solid tier 2 here.

when i check the mail-in-rebate it says that the offer expires on 9/18/2014. does that mean that i have to send the letter(mail) before it expires? i am asking because the product takes from 4-7 business days to arrive + 1 day of processing = to 9/18-21/2014. so if i send the letter on next Friday will i still get the gift card?

No, but you do have to sent it out within a few weeks of purchase date. The details will be in your order once you buy it. I bought this psu recently because of the rebate and it's been working well for over a week now (yes I realize that's not a long time lol)
