So there are similar questions on the board but nothing quite the same as what I've got. I'm running windows 7 with RealTek HD audio manager ver 6.0.1.6251 I'm running a dual monitor setup using my TV and a monitor (extended monitor style) and I would like to be able to send audio through the back port to the stereo. So my gf can watch a show while sending a different audio stream through the front audio jack to my headphones so I can play a game. Now here's the kicker that makes it odd, I have the box selected in the adv. settings to output two different audio streams so it shows both in the mixer window, but audio will only come out of whatever I set to "default" and the audio cuts out of the other. The only way audio comes out of both is if I hook up my headphones to the front "mic" input and then its only a double of the stereo output. I cant make it different or choose what programs audio comes out of which output.

Solution
I know some people have messed around with this and got it to work, but it was always flaky in the way that it worked....most cases it didn't work right, the computer became confused or BSOD.

In most cases, they had to have two separate audio devices (i.e. RealTek HD audio AND the HDMI portion of your sound card), windows would have to play through the RealTek HD audio, and you would need a program where you could specify the audio output (overriding Windows settings).
