Hello, I've been reading a lot about the Kaveri AMD processors and I know that the A10-7850K is the overclocking APU solution however I am interested in the A8-7600 and for the last couple hours I can't seem to find an answer to my question. Can the A8-7600 gpu be overclocked. I know the multiplier is fixed but that is cpu related, not gpu. I've seen bios options on review sites for the A8-7850k but nothing for the A8-7600. I read the ATI drivers do not allow overclocking for APU processors so my guess this is a bios only option. Anyone with the A8-7600 out there can confirm whether they have gpu frequency options in their bios?

Thank you.

Every graphics card, including the integrated ones, have 2 frequencies, memory frequency and CPU frequency. The difference is that integrated cards share memory from RAM and its memory can only be as fast as the RAM is. While you can overclock everything in a dedicated GPU, you cannot overclock vRAM in an integrated card. Yes you can overclock the RAM, but that has never been safe or reliable. The only way this would work is if you actually bough faster memory than the mobo supports which would cause it to run natively below its operating frequency and overclock it then.

So... SHORT ANSWER: OC is possible, but limited. You can OC the CPU and you can increase the amount of shared memory with the RAM.

P.S.: Just use AMD graphics overdrive.
