Crazy thing happened to me today. Met up with a friend and saw that his uncle had a basement full of computer parts from three 500w psu's, 9800GT cards and up, Those new 2 boards along with 3 old ddr2 boards in the box never installed, enough corsair vengeance ddr2/ddr3 for literally everyone in this forum, 4 intel P4 cpu's, wifi adapters/gaming keyboards and cases. The odd thing is he sold them all to me for 50$, I was blown away. But back to the point of this post, these 2 boards in the batch are superior to the other 3, which one would you guys say is overall the better board? Thanks!

Okay I've never heard of the 4P, but I did find a p55-UD4. There are quite a few differences between the two boards, not the least of which is that the Gigabyte supports Intel CPUs and the MSI is for AMD. Here's a listing of them side by side, take a look: http://us.hardware.info/comparisontable/products/74783-...

I just checked it out they seem to go back and forth alot on that comparison. What do you believe is the better motherboard for OC'ing and and building up?

The MSI supports a more powerful processor than the Gigabyte, up to the FX 8350. It also has USB 3.0, whereas the Gigabyte just supports 2.0 if that matters to you. They both can overclock, I'd go for the MSI.
