I've been researching this a lot. I've been told it could be my video card using that 2GB but I wondered why it would say 'Reserved' if it was being used?

BTW: Maximum Memory unchecked in msconfig.

Here are my specs, I'll post pictures as well. Any advice would be appreciated!

Mobo: Gigabyte Ultra Durable GA-X58A-UD3R
Ram: Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1333 MHz
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 260
CPU: Intel i7 930 2.8 GHz

That usually happens when you got integrated graphics running in conjunction with dedicated cards. Maybe shut it down in BIOS?

Thank you, I will try that! If it works, I'll update post and mark as solution. I'll try it tomorrow!

That motherboard doesn't have an integrated grphics, but still go into the bios and see whether there are functions like "memory remapping" which can be enabled.

See if updating the bios will help.Depending on which revision you have is the latest bios from 2011 or 2012.

EDIT : Sorry ignore - you already unchecked max mem.

I would certainly look into your vid card, some cards use a turbo or enhanced memory or something along those lines ?? where it reserves you memory for use for the card, especially if the card has low mem like 500mb or lower but im not sure if i have come across a GTX 260 with that feature?

good luck.
