Hello i am having problems overclocking my RAM to past 1600Mhz that its the standard speed.

My compter Specs:
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
AMD FX-8350
G.Skill TridentX 32Gb 1600Mhz CL7
x2 (XFX R9 290A-EDBD)
Corsair AX860 Platinum.

The problem is that when i run memtest at 1600Mhz i get no errors.
But when i overclock the ram to 1866/2133/2400 i get errors in the first 2minutes. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance!

you will have to loosen timmings or even increase volts in order to run them over 1600mhz. however 1600mhz cl7 offers already exceptional performance. i wouldnt bother overclocking them!

Well, overclocking is running past manufacturers specs and it is a very skilled operation. Maybe you just aren't setting the timings properly or maybe your RAM just isn't good for overclocking. How are you overclocking it - i.e what are you changing?

Its only rated at 1600. Leave it at that.

What timings and voltages are you using on each step?

I increased the voltage to 1.6 and 1.65 in every situation 1866/2133/2400 and the timings i used where this for
1866: 8-9-9-24
2133: 9-10-10-28
2400: 10-12-12-31

1.65Volt in all 3 cases.

So in all cases above the computer opens but at memtest i get errors...or random blue screens after several hours. And btw i read in forums that many people have overclocked these Rams to 2400 easy.

since you have all slots occupied with 32gb its very difficult to run past 1866mhz. you would additionally need to increase the memory controllers voltage.! seriously 1600mhz cl7 offers great performance. even 1866mhz cl8 wouldnt be any better!
