Hi,

This may be a lot to ask but I need some help making my gaming pc. I have this rough idea of what I want ATM;

Liquid cooling (corsair?)
GTX 780
16gb RAM (from which brand though?)
Intel Core i7 (4770 4x3.4ghz?)

Ok now I already have a 3 TB Hard drive that will be installed into the system, but I need help on deciding;

What case that supports my components and has quite a few USB slots?

Shall I change from the Default Motherboard Soundcard or should I get like a SoundBlaster thing?

What motherboard should I buy that's good, supports my hardware?

And finally what PSU should I buy to run this system? Tried the PSU calculator but I didn't understand it :c

Ok and that's about it, BTW if I have forgotten anything can you state to me what it is and what I should get for it, keep the price range around £1500 if possible.

Thanks
Josh

The Nvidia 900 series is about to launch in a week, wait till then, it'll definately bring some improvements over 700 series.

You won't need liquid cooling until you OC like enthusiast level (4.7GHz+), a CM 212 or Noctua D14 ($$$) will be enough to contain any moderate-high OCing, besides being quiet too (the Noctua particularly).

Why not 4790k? It has 400MHz extra speed out of the box and is literally at par ($5-10 maybe) with 4770k. It also OCes slightly better than 4770k.
EDIT: Didn't notice you have a non-K one, you can go with 4690k or Xeon for that matter, makes no difference on stock speeds.

A Phantom is a great case for looks+utility, or for a budget (I don't think you'll need this advice, 1500 quids is plenty!), you can go...
first of all you dont need an i7 for a gaming pc a i5 4690k is enough you will not see any performance difference between them in gaming, but if you decided to go with i7 4770 then you are good with stock cooler no need for a liquid cooling i7 4770 is a locked cpu and cannot be overclocked so stock cooler can handle it.
16 gb ram is too much for a gaming pc 8 gb is more than enough you can get the 16 gb ram but but about 10 gb ram will of no use as most demanding games requires maximum of 6 gb .
for Motherboard if you go with a noc oc processor then get a h97.http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-h97plus
For PSU a 650 watt is what you need no more than that. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1650bbefx

A Phantom is a great case for looks+utility, or for a budget (I don't think you'll need this advice, 1500 quids is plenty!), you can go with Corsair 200/300/500R.

I'd stress to include a SSD as it'll speed up the experience with faster boots/access/loading times.

Memory: G.Skill and Corsair (avoid Veng, Pro is ok) makes great sticks, Mushkin is good too, I'd particularly mention Trident Xes, they're excellent sticks for the price.

Any Z87/97 MoBo will be good enough for OCing, though I'd get one from ASUS/ASROCK/MSI/GIGABYTE, the first 2 being my fav choices (My opinion). A Z97 EXTREME4 or Z97-A is a great overall MoBo, and support SLI too.

For a single GPU, you won't need more than 650W of PSU (on the higher side). A 620W SeaSonic S12II/ Antec HCG 620W will be enough for a single 900 series card (unless its a dual GPU). A 850W PSU for SLI is what I recommend, EVGA G2 is the best value/money here.

You can use this site (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/) to compare prices and check for component compatibility. I can make you a PC but you'll need to tell if I need to include GPU or not (as I stressed on waiting for 900 series).

You'll need an OS and DVD writer but I hope you've figured that out.
