Will a game such as Grand theft auto 5 use more than 2GB of Vram when maxing everything out? 770 2gb,1080p one monitor......

How could you possibly say: "it will be the best optimized game on PC till date(a fact)"?
I seriously doubt it and definitely in no way is it a fact.
The fact that it's ported from consoles has pretty much negative effects only.
Still, I would guess that 2GB VRAM will be enough to run it maxed.

In the very near future though, it won't be enough to max games anymore.

Most new games will likely need 3GB's of VRAM to run maxed and maybe more in like a year or so. (some, like Watch dogs and others I can't remember, already need 3GB's)

Now whether or not GTA V will need 3GB's, I don't know, but there is a good change that it will.
You can still probably run it on Ultra, but without some options though.

I feel you, I have the same exact GPU, I should have gotten the 4GB version...

Thing is GTA5 wont be anything near watchdogs,it will be the best optimized game on PC till date(a fact) and they did it not for the sake of PC but for the sake of the new consoles, anyway so with that high level of optimization will it effect the VRAM usage ?

right now i have FC3 and i maxed it out ultra 8x 1080p etc and the max usage was 1800mb stable at 1300mb
