if you connect your computer to the speedstream, do you get an IP starting with either 10, 172, or 192?

if the answer is yes, the speedstreem is configured as a router.

it seems you have two options:

1) Put the speedstream in to Bridge Mode which will make it function as a modem only; however, you will most likely have to figure out how to autherticate to your ISP via the router. Afterwards you will do the port forwarding or DMZ on the router.

2) Configure the router as a wireless access point and have the speedstream provide the IPs. Afterwards you will need to do the port forwarding or DMZ on the speedstream.

okay i like option 2 as i messed it up with bridge mode and had to factory reset anything special i have to do on either the router or the speedstream? or just portforward/dmz from speedstream and be done with it?

in your case it is the Router IP. Set it to 192.168.254.1

i have successfully made my router an accesspoint :)  i portforward from my modem and the game still tells me that i have strict nat and to forward theports dmz does not work either
