I have a gaming computer that i build around half a year ago and while it doesn't need to be upgraded yet, I'm not sure on what parts would be compatible with it or what to upgrade. If anyone can tell me how to find compatible parts or which part of the system to upgrade that'd be great.

Its very simple:

1. Rebuild your identical virtual pc in the http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
2. Exchange parts as you will
3. pcpartpicker.com keep things compatible w/ each other :)

AMD Athlon X4 760K CPU
MSI A78M-E35 Motherboard
Radeon R7 260X
8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM
1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue HDD

I believe it was this build I used.

Your build is actually pretty balanced as is. Anything better, GPU wise, would be bottlenecked by your CPU some. I would start with a better power supply. Evga 600b is a decent budget unit. Go ahead and then get a better graphics card, then upgrade the motherboard and CPU. The bottleneck won't hurt anything, the graphics card just won't run at its full potential till you upgrade the CPU and Motherboard.

Thanks for you answer, some friends of mine were saying i needed to upgrade my power supply also. Do you think you could also answer on how to find compatible parts besides using pc part picker?

PC partpicker is the easiest way. Or just ask here. The power supply I mentioned would be compatible with anything you are going to build, unless you are going to extremes and need more wattage. There are no viable upgrades for your current CPU, so a new motherboard would be necessary as well. I would recommend an i5 4xxx series with an H97 motherboard at the very minimum. Here is an example of what I am talking about.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($179.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty H97 Killer ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $329.97
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Thanks for this info. Just one last question, Rosewill Line-M Case: http://bit.ly/1erNC5S this is my case. Would I need to get a new case for the new motherboard if i buy it or no?
