I have a HP Envy 4 Ultra-book with Windows 8 and it can see and identify all the networks wherever I go, but it doesn't connect to any, and if it does it's limited or disconnects right after. If tried re-installing the driver, and also checking for updates. Now I'm out of cards to play with and am very confused. Can anyone help a brotha out?

The first thing I would try is to connect on a network that you have the password to join (either at home, or a friend's house) - don't try on an open network. Most networks are secure now, and will require some kind of password to join, and without the proper password, you will get "limited" connectivity or it will disconnect you.

I'm trying to connect to my home network, the one I used to be able to connect and now can't.

You might have an issue with the adapter - has anything changed on the router or your PC recently?

Nope, it's literally been out of the blue. The weird thing is it can detect all the networks, it just doesn't seem to be able to actually connect to them.

Are your network settings on the computer set to automatic IP configuration?

CONTROL PANEL > NETWORK AND INTERNET > NETWORK CONNECTIONS - then select your adapter, and go to TCP/IPv4 properties. It should look like this: http://prntscr.com/4mfgv7
