I am new to gaming and I have a old PC
pentium dual core e5400 @3.8ghz
GPU 750 gtx 1gb
ram 2gb ddr3 1333mhz
win 7
will the processor bottleneck be too severe to even play games like skyrim; arkham city ; witcher 2; mass effect in 1680x1050 high setting?

just add to 2 gb if you have extra ram slot
then they will perform better
probably 10-15 fps boost on high

What? That doesn't even make sense. I'd love to see how you came up with that. 10-15 FPS? No more like the game will actually launch or not. If you are referring to dual channel then try 4-7% for the performance increase.

Yes, just add an identical stick to the other RAM slot. Try to match the model number if you can.

2GB of RAM is not enough for any modern game. The rest of your system would allow those games on lower settings. Probably not high.

Do I need to buy 4gb or I can just add 2gb since my mobo has a extra ram slot? I am asking this because ram from different package may cause instability even if it is of the same brand and frequency..no?

I said on high setting and high resolution on low resolution those games wouldn't be able to utilize even 1.5 gb
and yes on high settings they will have increase minimum 10fps
