Hi
Can I connect my boot drive to any sata 6gbs port on my motherboard (they are all 6gbs ports) or must the boot drive absolutely be connected to the port labeled 0 ?
The reason for my question is that I have 4 ports in 2 rows on my motherboard Gigabyte H97-D3H (Visualize a square with 4 boxes). The manual indicates that sata port 0 is the one further to the right on the first row. The one to its left is port 2, the one further to the right on the second row is 3 and the one to its left is port 4.
However, on the mobo itself, just on the border there is a 0 that is printed with no other reference indicating what that 0 mean and that 0 appears next to the port labeled 3 (further to the right on row 2). So, unless I am mistaken (probably), there would appear to be a contradiction between the mobo itself and the manual. So, the big question is WHICH IS PORT 0 ?
What will happen if I do not connect the boot drive to port 0 ?
Thank you
