Title. I've been looking at the T410 (amazingly, you can still buy them new for very cheap where I live!). It seems more than enough for browsing and document writing- heck, a friend of mine develops Android apps and he uses one of those.

More about : newest thinkpad keyboard

No. The last ThinkPads to have the "old style" keyboard were from 2011 which were using Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs. That would be the T420.

In 2012 they started to use the "island style" keyboard and in 2013 the mouse pad with the buttons was drop in favor of a single mouse pad with no buttons. You simply press down on the bottom left / right corners like many consumer mouse pads.

Then I'll be good with the T410? The 420 can't be found...

For what you plan on doing it should be fine. None of the tasks are very CPU intensive.
