I have the Z87-G45 Gaming motherboard for my haswell cpu and its great, i would recommend it and its in your price point. There isnt any point getting a i7-47xx unless you are doing workstation stuff, for gaming the i5-46xx is better and cheaper.

I was gonna get a i7-4790 but then I saw that the i5 can getchu same performance for less :)

Get the i5-4670k or 90k, but they are the same just with slightly different clock speeds. I would say get the Msi Z87-G45 Gaming, But if your budget allows the Asus Maximus boards are excellent boards if you plan on extreme overclocking. Also the Msi Z87-G45 Only allows 2 way sli 3 way crossfire, i would only recommend 2 way as 3 isnt that fast compared to 2, and is considerably worse in things like heat and power consumption.

I would get the msi one, as it is usually cheaper and in my opinion looks better with the red and black scheme. Although if you like that one more from the looks it doesn't really have any downsides. I would also get the one with the longest warranty.
