Hi Guys . Can you sort them Once performance wise and once Cooling wise

1.SAPPHIRE TRI-X R9 290
2.SAPPHIRE R9 290X 4GB
3.ASUS - ATI RADEON - R9 290X - 4GB OC
4.MSI - R9 290X LIGHTNING

The Sapphire Tri-X cooler is really good, but that looks like it's an R9 290, which is obviously a little slower than the 290X. The other Sapphire card might have a reference cooler, in which case it's really bad. The Asus card has a poor cooler (though better than reference). The MSI Lightning cooler is very noisy, but achieves very low temperatures.

So I'd say 1. for low noise and 4. for performance.

i know SAPPHIRE TRI-X R9 290 has no x and that means slower . but i saw good benchmarks on few sites . sometimes faster than regular 290x . is that possible somehow ?

because its so cheap and its cool and quiet . i wish it had very unnoticeable difference with MSI - R9 290X LIGHTNING or atleast regular 290x

The reference cards in particular will throttle clocks, so a Sapphire 290 Tri-X can definitely outperform a reference 290X on performance (let alone on noise level). But a 290X with a good cooler (eg. the same Tri-X cooler) would still be a little faster.

If price is a factor, then a 290 is an obvious recommendation. The performance is very close to the 290X, but the price is significantly lower.

thanks alot that was very useful info . 2 more questions

1-Heat will force vga to work slower to cool down as much as it can ? that's why reference card would be slower right ?

2.Is there any site that compares different brands of 290x and 290 tri-x ? wanna know if i should just go for 290 tri x or go for msi 290x ?

SAPPHIRE TRI-X R9 290 is really good . but that little x at the end bothers me :D  . on some sites i noticed almost 10 fps difference between x and non x versions

Ok then stay away from it.

If #2 is not a reference design I would consider it although without the exact model its hard to make a clear decision

It is important to not get a card with a reference cooler. They run hot and throttle down

Of course im not going for it . i know they are so hot and ... now my big decision is on this one :

SAPPHIRE TRI-X R9 290 vs MSI - R9 290X LIGHTNING . just wanna know if they have unnoticeable difference
