Fonts have a Pixel Per Inch (Called Dots Per Inch DPI, don't ask it is a printer thing) in them. When you raise the resolution you are raising the number of pixels per inch. So if you have say 50 pixels in 1 inch of screen and the font is set to 50 pixels for inch it will take up that inch of screen. But, when you raise the resolution to 100 Pixels Per Inch that font only fills up half of that inch making it smaller.

That's the skinny. The solution is to simply raise your DPI on your fonts or to use larger font. Using larger fonts is better because you get better resolution but you have to raise them all and can be tedious. To raise the DPI :

- Open Control Panel
- Open Display
- Select Medium or Large or go to "Setup custom text size (DPI)" on the left and adjust it how you like.

Like I said this only raises the DPI of the font not its resolution so they will look jagged. If you want high resolution and large size then:

- Open "Personalization" (bottom left)
- Click "Window Color" bottom middle. (don't ask it is Microsoft being stupid again)
- Click "Advanced appearance settings..." (bottom)
- In the items select the different items that have text font like "Icon".
- Set the font size.

Do this for each item that has text.

These are instructions for Windows Vista and Windows 7. They are different for XP and 8.

Hope this helps.

What is lightroom? Is this a program? If so I would contact them. They may have a maximum resolution limit on their software or an update.

Within Lightroom (I use LR 4.0):
Edit
Preferences
Interface
Font Size - Automatic, Small, Large.
Choose what suits you.
Close LR and restart
