Hi there.

I just built my first PC and i gathered up the courage to Overclock my i7-4790k.
I have an MSI Gaming 5 motherboard and use a Cooler Master 280l water cooling.
What would be the best Overclock and Overvolt for my CPU that ensures best stability and performance? :??: Also what temperatures should i expect with it too? Thank you in advanced. :D

Solution
It depends on your individual chip. Some require more voltage than others, some run hotter, etc.

Just take small steps (100-200MHz) and test for stability after every step. If it's unstable up the VCore by a tiny little bit (~0.025v) and try again. Rinse and repeat. Just make sure your core temp doesn't go above ~75-80 degrees Celsius.
