Hi Everyone

I'm running the TurboDuo R9 280x (2 weeks old) and seems in BF4 I'm getting frame stuttering using the 13.12Whql driver, i would be using the 14.4 driver but then all the games stutter and with the new beta driver the PC crashes... sigh...
Is there anything else that can cause this or something that will make the stuttering go away ?

The card also has a slight coil whine to it but i believe that's normal as per other posts I've read but can hear the card working (whining) and when the frames dip the sound of whine changes and a second later it jumps back to the normal frames.

I have a fresh copy of windows 7 64bit installed so don't believe its the OS unless im missing something or haven't installed something that i should have.

My system specs are :
MSI Z77A Global
i7 3770k (Stock speed)
8Gig Gskill 1866Mhz ram
TurboDuo R9 280x
620W Antec Neo Eco Psu
Win 7 64bit

And i don't want to know about BF4 as I've heard its buggy as hell just over all with stuttering is it hardware related or software ? And does anyone have a known fix for this ?
Thanks everyone

I only recently uninstalled the Beta driver and so far its all going good, going to test out the older driver and see if it crashes with the older one as well. It seems like a driver issue but would've thought it would be alright with the 14.4 drivers but the stuttering stays there. I've considered swopping the card for a GTX 770 but such a waist to swop out a new card for a second hand one.

So i was up till late trying to figure out if i can solve the problem this is what i did :

Tried 3 different Ati drivers (13.12 / 14.4 / 14.7) nothing helped
Used driver sweeper and attempted the drivers again , nothing helped again.
Reset my bios also didnt work
Disabled intel C state on the cpu maybe it was the cpu throttling , didnt work
Uninstalled windows updates , didnt work
Used system restore as far back as possible , didnt work
Changed the ram slots , didnt work
Tried switching the 8pins around on my gpu, no effect
Tried the other pci slot , didnt work
Changed sata ports on the hd , didnt work
Plugged everything out and back in to see if something wasnt connected properly, didnt help
Disabled anti virus , didnt work
Temps are fine all round on the system

So i have decided to send this card back i cant struggle so much just to play games its ridiculous !
But thanks for the reply Thaisnang, had a R9 290 with problems and now the 280x.....
Going to try and go back to nvidia never had problems there.

If you think thats what the problem is then should probably change it.
Have you tried benchmarking your system with 3DMark?

Just ran 3Dmark 11 now and was going fine but did a fresh install aswell to see if there could have been some driver conflicts i could have caused but still the same after installation.
The only thing i can think of is returning the card. What else could it possibly be ?

Contacted my supplier and going to send it in tomorrow so they can test it as well, will put their results on here if there was indeed something wrong with the card .
This was my 3D mark score, was using an old 80gig hd for that one but replaced it with a 500gig sata 3 :
(Oh yes and this was with the 14.7 beta driver )

If you compare it to the majority it is kind of a low. Guess we have to wait for test results.
