I have 2 Toshiba LED TV's, both are model #: 46L5200U1, that are having identical issues. The screen will begin to flicker, and then cut out entirely, but the sound remains on. Sometimes after an hour or two, but usually after only a few minutes of use. It happens on all inputs, with or without a source plugged in. Turning off the set, then back on will restore the picture, but only for a few minutes. They started doing this within days of each other. I have been unable to find any references to this online, despite having identical units exhibiting identical behaviors. The sets had been installed in a restaurant, each had a cable box run to it via hdmi cable. Has anyone seen this issue before? Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks

Try to update the firmware: https://web1.toshiba.ca/support/ceg/downloads/en/view.a...

Followed the link, thanks, and updated the firmware successfully, problem persists however.

And it happens on a different power outlet too?

That's correct, it's happened on different circuits, even different buildings.

I am experiencing the same problem. My Toshiba is model 46L5200U1. I am going to check with Best Buy tomorrow. I will post if I get an answer.
I called Toshiba and got no help. I replaced inverter. Still had the problem.
Next i did a factory reset. So far, this has worked. TV has been on for several hours with no problems "knock on wood".

I would be interested in what they say. I am glad someone else has seen the same issue at least. It doesn't seem like a software thing, I'm thinking more likely a control board or some other hardware that's failing. I'd just like to find out if it's repairable. The sets are probably a few years old, and I'm not the original owner, so there's no warranty, but if I can get them repaired, I will. I'm just not sure how easy LED sets are to repair, most consumer electronics are pretty much disposable these days. Thanks for your input.

Well it's back again. After last night I was sure it was fixed. Anybody else find a solution?

Factory reset seems to have helped but still sporadically the screen goes black. Sound stays on. When I turn off and turn back on picture comes back. Anybody have any ideas?

Was that the led driver board you replaced, on the left under the cover looking at the back of the set? I had thought about trying to replace that, was just waiting til I had the funds.
