So im looking to purchase the Cooler Master V8 GTS for my PC. But theres an Issue, My Corsair Graphite 230T supports only 165mm CPU heatsinks. The V8 GTS is 166.5mm. Now Ive tried manually measuring the room in my case but I dont exactly know where to measure from. From the under my stock heatsink I saw around 6.7-7 Inches of room. But I dont want to end up buying the Cooler Master V8 GTS and it not fitting and not getting my money back. So help would be appreciated.

You would measure from the top of the CPU to the side panel. Most cases have a little extra room over the recommended clearance, but thats really not a guarantee that the 230T will. As long as there is a 1mm gap between the cooler and side panel it's fine.
]Why are you choosing the V8 GTS .... if it is because of the aesthetics just grabbing you, then by all means g on ya path .... but if sound and thermal performance are you goals, I'd strongly recommend against the V8 GTS. For its $100 price tag, it barely beats the $30 Hyper 212 and is a lot louder.

The Noctua DH-14 is 160mm so 5mm less than you need to have .... it's a great performer ... tops the Hyper 212 by ~ 6C and usually goes for about $75 .... fans are fugly but the 2nd or 3rd best on the market.
