Hi all, I have a bit of a strange problem here that no one else on the internet seems to know ( At least not from what I can find)

My Geforce seems to have took away More than a GB of RAM that i can use.

In task manager it says that i only have a total of 2942 available RAM.

My system properties say that there is 4.00 GB of Ram intalled.. Also if i go into NVIDIA control panel and go to system information it tells me that its got 1215 shared system memory.

Is this normal, If I put 2 Geforce 8500 in will it use 2500 of RAM and also is there a way to change the shared RAM it can use?

Appreciate any help!

Im running 64 bit vista.
I have heard there is a way to change the RAM in the BIOS but i thought it was for onboard cards, if that makes sense.

Here is the graphics card info:

Dedicated video memory: 512 MB DDR2

Shared system memory: 1215 MB

Cheers for the help!
