(HP) inside a PC, I added a new hdd, uploaded a new w8, everything installed and put restart. Writes that mistake. In the bios, I had 1st..cd, 2nd..hdd no problem starting W8. When I set the 1st.hdd, 2nd cd. Immediately writes a mistake.

Using my special decoder ring, I think this says;

"I have an HP Computer that I added a new hard drive to. After, I installed a fresh copy of Windows 8. Everything installed fine and it restarted after completion. It boots correctly if I have the bios boot priorities set to, 1. CD Drive, 2. Hard Drive..But if I change it to boot to the hard drive first, it gives me an error, "NVIDIA boot agent PXE-E61 media test failure, check cable PXE-MOF exiting Nvidia boot agent. OS not found."

Hmm, well this could mean a few things.

1. Your New hard drive could be defective. But, DOA rates are fairly low, and considering it boots fine the other way, this is less likely.

2. It is technically possible your cable is not plugged in all the way. I would check them JUST to make sure.

3. Small chance that your computer is attempting to network boot. Try finding network boot option and disable.

4. You could have the the boot HDD to the wrong HDD if you have more than one. In which case that fix is obvious.

5. You may need to reset your BIOS. Doing this is pretty easy and can be a way to fix it quickly. ( http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-Your-BIOS )
