I have been thinking about building a gaming PC for a few months now, but I still can't find something that I think will do what I need it to do. I have been looking at AMD CPUs and Graphics cards, but I have heard from many on here, and on reddit, that intel is better CPU-wise. The other issue I have is the motherboard.......should it be around $100, or is that too much for a motherboard? Lastly, It needs to include the OS, preferably Windows 8.1. Any help would be appreciated!

For a CPU, try an AMD FX-8320, it is a pretty darn good CPU. For a motherboard, 100 Dollars will get you a nice, fairly high end MoBo. For a good cheap-ish Graphics card, the Radeon R9 290 would be a good option.

If you want something you can upgrade the CPU on later you can go for a pentium build. Here is the review of the G3258
