The Sennheiser has some quality control issues, but is a good unit. Keep in mind that its microphone has poor high frequency response, so it doesn't work so well for women (pretty good, but not the best). The audio playback on the Sennheiser is excellent and it has surround sound.

The SteelSeries is a bit more basic on the sound output, but seems to have a built in bass boost that many people like (including me). The microphone on it has good frequency range but is a little quiet. It also comes with a spare battery so that down time on long gaming sessions is less than a minute.

Those choices are interesting, but there is no clear winner.

Why not get the DT 770 Pros? It has amazing lows and highs and a wide soundstage for a closed headphone so it will be good for gaming. It should be much better than both of those headsets.
