It's a standard question I know but so many conflicting statements! I have a newly built rig:
Intel i7-4790
ASRock z97 pro4 mobo
Two case fans
(2x 4 GB DDR 3)
DVD writer
Hyper evo 212 cpu fan
Crucial 240 GB SSD
Seagate 1 TB HDD
Corsair CX600 power supply

Everything is running great, and now I want to add either an Asus R9 280 GPU or an MSI twin frozr OC gtx 760 GPU. Based on the current deals.

Is the cx 600W corsair going to be enough for this single GPU setup reliably? I don't care to further over clock anything on the system. But of course the MSI is factory over clocked already.

I am not a hard core gamer and have very little time to do it, but when I do have time, I want the game to be beautiful and immersive. Also, as this computer serves as our household work station, everything needs to be quite reliable.

Thanks both for your answers. The example of a paired 280x was particularly reassuring. Visiting the wattage calculator on the msi website also says it should be more than enough. So I will go for it.

Just a follow-up. I bought the GTX 760, and indeed, the Corsair CX600 600 Watt power supply works beautifully. Silky smooth Skyrim gameplay at high def with RealVision mods makes for a happy camper here.

for Watts its ok, now u cant askt that PSU to supply that 12v rail and push it, u will face crashes and power offs, maybe at the begining no, but as time pass by, components will get worse.
