I use lightshot - https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html

It allows for quick customization of screen shots - you can save it locally, copy to the clipboard or post to the web.

Hi, Every computer with Windows has a clipboard, it's a buffer where things you cut or copy stay but not an application you can open. After you hit Print Screen (which you can do by just hitting the print screen key alone), go to the start menu and type "Paint" or just open the paint application and go to Edit-Paste and you will see you screen you just copied into the clipboard. You can go to File-Save As and save it as a .jpg, .png or .gif etc. In Windows 7 and 8 there is also the Snipping tool that lets you select a portion of the screen and copy it, then save it with the same application. Just open the Start menu and type "Snipping" and you will see it.

Good luck
