I need help recording old games like broodwar, all 2d command and conquer games before (like red alert 2), and any other old pc game you can think of. I have tried dozens of programs and all of them give me a black screen which I believe is called NOT "hooking" but it records the sound. All newer games I can record easily without problems. I am using windows 8, but I have no problems tweaking older games to work on it, I JUST CAN"T FIGURE OUT HOW TO RECORD THEM. So frustrating. Anyone who can help me get ALL my cudos. I have 3 paid recording programs D3Dgear, Bandicam, and Fraps.
Bonus question: how do I record flash games (like super mario bros crossover) on windows 8 (or any OS) as fraps only works half ass, and not at all for SMBC because when you load a save, it shuts off.
