Hello all! My AMD A10 6800k 4.1ghz/ 4.4ghz turbo cpu seems to be overheating. It is overclocked to 4.6ghz and the turbo core is disabled. In the bios my overclocked temp reads 50 degrees celcius and the same on HWMonitor. But my load temps when I play BF4 says its at 103 degrees! Which is NUTS! the Max temp on my cpu is 74 degrees. Im using a Deep Cool Gabriel gamerstorm aftermarket low profile cooler.Anyway I'm looking to find out if this 103 temperature is even possible. Any Input you could give me on how to fix this or maybe find out the true temperature is welcomed. Thanks

download this program called speccy it will give you all detailed information reguarding your computer it will show you your exact cpu temperature wait for sometime till the temperature stabalizes it will be accurate

you can also try thermal pastes they reduce computer temperatures
like

arctic silver 5

x1 extreme fusion

mx 4

all these 3 are good ones they have cure time so it may take a while like a 1 week or so for the temp to come down

if temperatures are still high go to power options in control panel go to advanced power management go to processor power management reduce the power from 100% to 50 % if still hot keep it 1 %

this will surely reduce your comps temperature but also the performance a little

keep your...

Lots of 3rd party software doesn't read temps correctly for APUs. Download AMD overdrive and monitor temps from there instead to see what is happening. 4.6ghz should be no problem on that cooler. We run our 6800K on a CNPS5X ~4.7ghz most of the time.

Relatively recent linux kernels and hardware monitoring modules on linux appear to be reading these correctly as well.

keep your comp dust free check if heat sink is installed properly

let me knw if anything helped you out
